Key accountabilities for the role:

We are seeking for a highly disciplined and experienced Airports Regional Manager to work on our programme management projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE


Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Establish and develop relationships with airport owners and authorities.
  • Promote Arcadis capability to advise, plan, design and manage the delivery of airport assets.
  • Develop/maintain partnerships with airports, agencies, consultants, and contractors.
  • Identify skilled airport talent/resources to propose on new projects and hire into Arcadis.
  • Lead proposals (both technical and commercial) for bids on airport work.
  • Support negotiations to win and secure new profitable contracts with airport clients.

Project Delivery:

  • Lead the startup of new airport contracts/projects.
  • Lead the hiring process for new airport PMs and project leadership teams.
  • Lead coordination with Arcadis solutions, human resources, and operations.
  • Oversee smooth project startup and eventual handoff to project manager.
  • Oversee project success; client satisfaction and Arcadis profitability.
  • Maintain client relationship and troubleshoot any issues including staff replacements.

Corporate:

  • Learn and adopt the Arcadis way of doing business, including safety, within the first year.
  • Develop an annual plan with objectives, resources, and budget each year.
  • Maintain a tracking log of the top 20 pursuits including estimates on revenue and EBITDA.
  • Maintain a tracking log of active projects including earnings compared to plan
  • Review goals and performance with global airports lead and regional lead 6 times per year.
  • Collaborate with global and regional peers as needed to be successful.

Qualifications:

Experience, Qualifications & Person Specifications:

  • 20+ years’ experience in airport project design and construction management.
  • Self-driven and highly motivated.
  • Ability to solve complex and/or ambiguous problems.
  • Demonstrative record of bidding for and winning consulting contracts (Advisory, Design, PMCM, PGM).
  • Excellent communications and relationship building skills.
  • Track record of delivering large airport projects in South East Asia.
  • Fundamental understanding of airport operational requirements.
  • Fundamental understanding of airport infrastructure, buildings, and special systems.
  • Deep knowledge of the airport's supply chain including consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • The expansive network of airport talent that will come to Arcadia.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to direct a large team of design and construction professionals.
  • Excellent contract administration skills with the ability to direct design and construction firms.
  • Excellent understanding of design and build to budget and schedule.
  • Degree or higher in Engineering or Architecture.
  • In addition, a degree or higher in business administration is an advantage.
